How Chomp Shopper reads a recipe

Paste a link and we look for the recipe the way the site published it, then sort the ingredients by store aisle.

    Most recipe sites
Most sites publish their recipe in a standard format behind the page. We read that first, so quantities and units come through exactly.
    Messier pages
If a page doesn't use the standard format, we read the page itself, and can try again with AI if the first read misses ingredients.
    Instagram, photos and files
Paste an Instagram caption, snap a cookbook page, or upload a PDF or Word file. We pull out the ingredients the same way.
    Sorted by aisle
Every ingredient goes into one of 12 store sections, like Produce, Dairy & Eggs and Pantry & Spices, and repeats are combined.

Not listed? Try the link anyway. If it doesn't work, the Help Center has tips.
